Sediment ponds and traps to capture run off from farm tracks and road to reduce impact on Tamar tributary.

Watercourse crossing points (2) to reduce erosion and disturbance.

Also hedge laying and fencing to improve habitat and keep livestock out of the newly created areas.

The Tamar Valley Management Plan recognises that the diverse landscape is shaped by the Rivers Tamar, Tavy and Lynher, this project will improve the quality of water in a tributary feeding into the Tamar.

This project will work towards the reversing of the decline of biodiversity within the NL by providing improved and new habitats for a variety of wildlife (8.6.3)

The sediment traps will reduce the amount of sediment in the River Tamar (6.3.2) and maintain and improve the natural capital on the farm (8.6.5) allowing our farm to work in partnership with nature rather than in competition. 8.6.4 supports initiatives to improve water course management and quality.
