Summary of proposal inc. proposed outputs
This project will produce and install 14 new or replacement interpretation boards throughout the Tamar Valley National Landscape.
These boards will provide visitors with information on the area including the agriculture and horticulture undertaken in the area, the history of the landscape and the wildlife that can be seen. The strong heritage connections of orchards, forestry, farming and the use of local rivers for transporting goods to markets etc will be celebrated.
These boards will improve the visitor enjoyment of the area allowing them to have a better understanding of the landscape and encourage greater connectivity with nature.
The boards will benefit land managers by sharing details of their natural and heritage assets, farming/forestry operations and seasons, access routes, engagement activities and support sensitive site usage to protect wildlife, such as following the Countryside Code, keeping dogs on leads for ground-nesting birds, do not disturb adders, etc
