Farming with Nature Plans – Business and Environmental Funding Opportunities
- Desk study to finalise target farms.
- Recruitment events to sign up farms – these will be invitation events based on the above targeting. This will ensure participation incudes farms with habitat opportunities in key areas with landowners who have expressed a willingness to create and restore wildlife habitat.
- CWT Farm Advisors farm visits for 10 farms including UK Habitat Classification survey
- Consultant ecologist BNG opportunity survey for 5 farms
- Historic Features and Landscape Character Appraisal
- Production of Environmental Farm Plans for 10 farms to include;
- Identification of semi-natural habitat restoration opportunity
- Identification of new wildlife habitat creation opportunity (including specific guidance on open water creation)
- Identification of productive farmland interventions that will benefit wildlife
- Advice on funding models to include ELMS, BNG, Heritage etc. with specialist consultancy input
- GIS maps to show farm habitat and opportunities for change over time with identification of immediate Stage 2 interventions via identified funding pathways
