Summary of proposal inc. proposed outputs
Increase biodiversity and conserve locally distinctive landscape by planting parkland trees and fruit trees within pasture areas and along boundaries and by moving hedges into a hedge-laying management cycle.
To enhance the species richness of grassland within the nut orchard and agriculturally improved grassland and to capture CO2 via regenerative grazing methods.
To provide safe nesting habitat for important local species such as Barn owls, bats, and house sparrows.
To encourage enjoyment and appreciation of the peninsular, its landscape and wildlife and the new inter-tidal habitat by holding regular volunteer working groups and by providing a bird viewing hide with a screened approach for use on the 12 open days per year.
